鍾呈光傳道於1988年與家人移民美國，1998年取得California State University, Fullerton 生物化學學士學位，2001年於DeVry University 獲電子工程學士學位；畢業後任職電子工程師二十餘年。2016蒙神呼召在聖地牙哥 Bethel Seminary 修讀道學碩士課程，並於2021年畢業。2022年受聘於聖地牙哥主恩堂為部分時間見習傳道，在我2023年轉為全時間見習傳道協助粵語堂及英語大學事工，當中包括主日講道，成人事工外展團契，幸福小組，福音查經小組，探訪，並協助其他國語分堂任主日崇拜講員。妻子Agnes於香港伯特利神學院取得道學碩士學位，主修教牧輔導。夫婦二人育有一女Charissa。鍾傳道喜愛閱讀，旅遊，及發掘中西美食餐廳。

Pastor Tim immigrated to the United States with his family in 1988. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from California State University, Fullerton in 1998, and a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from DeVry University in 2001. He worked as an electronic engineer for over twenty years after graduation. In 2016, he answered God's call to enroll in the Master of Divinity program at Bethel Seminary in San Diego, and graduated in 2021. In 2022, he was appointed as a part-time intern pastor at Chinese Bible Church of San Diego, where he transitioned to full-time in 2023, supporting the Cantonese congregation and English speaking college ministry. His responsibilities include preaching on Sundays, adult ministry outreach fellowships, small group ministries, evangelistic Bible study groups, visitation, and assisting other Mandarin congregations with Sunday worship services. His wife, Agnes, earned a Master of Divinity degree from Hong Kong Bethel Theological Seminary, majoring in pastoral counseling. The couple has a daughter named Charissa. Pastor Tim enjoys reading, traveling, and exploring Asian and Western cuisine restaurants.
